The award-winning NDN Press Sports broadcast team is set to kick off its second season of football coverage beginning this Friday, Aug. 30.
The season opener will see PNG face off against Klein Oak at Klein Memorial Stadium, with PNG Primetime managing the cameras during the game.
All games will be streamed live on the NDN Press YouTube channel throughout the season.
Halftime performances will be included in the broadcast.
The all-sophomore broadcast team covering the game includes:
- Assistant Sports Editor Kaiden Lunceford (‘27): Play-by-Play
- Clayton Proffitt (‘27): Color Commentary
- Marquise Gassen (‘27): Sideline Reporter
- Julius McDaniel (’27): Game Clock/Scoreboard
- Chelsey Goodwin (‘27): Social Media
“We’ve put in a lot of effort and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish this year,” Lunceford said.
Lunceford, along with Proffitt and Ella Owens (’26) picked up two awards last year for broadcasting (rated Excellent) in the annual Texas Association of Journalism Educators’ Best In Texas awards.
Lunceford also picked up an Honorable Mention for Individual On-Air Talent in the UIL/ILPC Individual Achievement Awards last spring.
