The PN-G varsity boys basketball team won four-straight games at the Bridge City Holiday Classic Tournament, securing the championship with a win over Vidor, 58-51.

The Indians’ victories came against Orangefield, Sabine Pass, Vidor and Bridge City, which hosted the tournament from Friday and Saturday, Dec. 28-29.

The Indians defeated Orangefield, 42-37, with Trent Lee leading the team with 16 points and Noah Marchak adding 13.

The team more than doubled the score of Sabine Pass, winning 60-29. Marchak led the team with 23 points, with Lee contributing 11.

Marchak again led the team in scoring against Bridge City, notching 23 points in PN-G’s 67-58 win. Tracy Smith added 20 in the game.

The Indians rounded out the tournament with the win over Vidor. Drake Rojas added 21 points while Lee had 13.

The tournament followed a pool-play setup, with seeding for Saturday’s games being determined by Friday outcomes.
