The glowing lights illuminate the stage as the crimson curtains draw open.
The stage is set and Thursday night, the actors and actresses will be ready to begin their performance.
The PNG High School Theater Department proudly presents “Peter and the Starcatcher,” a play which provides a backstory to the characters of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan stories.
The character of Peter, initially referred to as “the boy,” has his sad and lonely world turned upside down when he meets Molly.
As the daughter of famous Starcatcher, Lord Aster, Molly is on a mission to save the world and protect a treasure trunk filled with magical star stuff from getting into the hands of evil and greedy pirate, Black Stache.
This will be the first show of the school year and our actors and actresses are feeling quite ecstatic for opening night.
“I would say this show is slowly making a mermaid out of me,” Sophia Cowart (’26) said.
The showtimes are: Thursday 9/19/24 – 7pm, Friday 9/20/24 – 7pm, Saturday 9/21/24 – 7pm, Sunday 9/22/24 – 3pm, Monday 9/23/24 – 7pm. Come watch our Indian Players as they take your breath away with another flawless performance!
