Tryout dates announced for cheer teams, Indian Spirit

The 2019-20 varsity cheerleaders and Indian Spirit will be announced Friday, March 22 at the end of the school day.

Applications will be available for pickup beginning Monday, Feb. 25, in the Student Activities office.

An informational parent meeting will be held Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. in the PNGHS cafeteria. Applications are due the following day, Friday, March 8, at 3 p.m. in the Student Activities Office.

Clinics for those trying out will be held Monday and Tuesday, March 18 and 19 from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Mock tryouts will be held Wednesday, March 20 from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

The cheer team candidates will then tryout for judges on Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m. Required skills to perform are toe touches and flip flops.

Student body tryouts will be held Friday, March 22 at 8:30 a.m.

JUNIOR VARSITY

The 2019-20 junior varsity cheerleaders will be announced Friday, March 29 at the end of the school day.

Applications will be available for pickup beginning Monday, Feb. 25, in the Student Activities office.

An informational parent meeting will be held Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. in the PNGHS cafeteria. Applications are due Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m. in the Student Activities Office.

Clinics for those trying out will be held Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the competition gym.

The cheer team candidates will then tryout for judges on Thursday, March 28 at 5 p.m.

Student body tryouts will be held Friday, March 29 at 8:30 a.m.

FRESHMAN

The 2019-20 freshman cheerleaders will be announced Friday, March 29 at the end of the school day.

Applications will be available for pickup beginning Monday, Feb. 25, in both Groves Middle School and Port Neches Middle School offices.

An informational parent meeting will be held Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. in the PNGHS cafeteria. Applications are due back to their respective campus offices on Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m.

Clinics for those trying out will be held Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27 at 4:30 p.m. in the PN-G High School competition gym.

The cheer team candidates will then tryout for judges on Thursday, March 28 at 5:30 p.m.
