The Port Neches-Groves cross country team had a successful season, despite neither the team, or any individual, advancing past the regional meet.

Junior Anna Licatino advanced to the regional meet by placing 10th in the district meet with a time of 23:07.

“We had the biggest team ever this year,” said Coach Tanner. “The team overall was really close to going to regionals.”

One of the team’s premier runners, senior Sebastian Wagner, sat down to talk with the Pow Wow about the season.

Q When does the next cross country season start?

A Practice starts during summer break and the season starts around the first week of school. And most of the runners also do track in the spring.
