Heading into Week 5, the Indians were undefeated, 3-0, as the District 8-5A-II schedule began. As the game was set to begin, and the sun provided the perfect “golden-hour” backdrop, varsity cheerleaders Kynlee Vasquez (‘28), Bayleigh Evans (‘28) and Katelyn Bakker (‘28) performed “Cherokee” along the track. As she shot into the sun from a lower, worm’s-eye angle, a radiant sunburst was framed inside Kynlee’s left arm while creating a silhouette effect of the trio. “Cherokee” played several times that night as the team ran away with a 45-21 road win.
