Josh Pippin is a senior at PN-G.

Josh Pippin is a senior at PN-G. On a normal school day, he is involved in varsity football, baseball and as a peer tutor. This is his #NDNSatHOME story.

Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when things go back to “normal?”
A:
The first thing I want to do when things get back to normal is get the baseball team together one last time for us seniors — and just have fun on the baseball field.

Q: What’s one positive thing you think you can pull away from this situation?
A:
One positive thing I can pull away from this situation is how strong it is building our communities and families. Usually, parents are too busy working and don’t have enough time for their kids. When everything started shutting down, the parents started hanging out with their kids as a family.

Q: What have you learned about yourself while distance learning has been in place?
A:
One thing I have learned about myself during this time is that learning on a computer is way more difficult than on paper. It is harder to focus at home than at school.

Q: If 2020 had a theme song what do you think it would be?
A:
If 2020 had a theme song it would be “Last Time for Everything,” by Brad Paisley.

Q: Have you taken up any new hobbies with all the free time? What are they?
A:
I have not taken new hobbies during this. I was still practice baseball everyday up until April 17 hoping there would still be a season.

Q: What’s your favorite distance learning class and why?
A:
My favorite class is my peer tutor class. I love getting to send them videos and just interacting with them as much as I can during this time.

Q: Finally, what message would you like to give to your fellow classmates?
A:
I know it’s hard and we have to push through this with everything that has happened to our class. This is just one more hurdle to jump over. We will graduate and we will move on from this. We made a mark on this school — the senior class of 2020 will be the most unforgettable class ever.
