Madison Pearson is a junior at PN-G. During a normal school day, she is involved in varsity cheer, all AP classes, and T.R.I.B.E. This is her #NDNSatHOME story.

Q: How do you keep yourself busy at home?
A: Before the virus pandemic, I was always super busy all the time, so finding things to do throughout the day is different when I have so much time to just sit and chill. I keep myself busy with school work and lots of family time.

Q: What is something fun you’ve done this week?
A: This week I became the varsity cheer co-head and have spent lots of time reminiscing about my spring break in Costa Rica.

Q: What is one thing you have wanted to do this week, but couldn’t?
A: Shop, shop, and shop, I miss it and miss hanging out with my friends all the time.

Q: How do you like the online assignments? Are they easy or hard?
A: I’m liking the online classes!! It’s a way for me to learn but also be in my bed (one of my fav places)! The AP courses are a little challenging, but I’m constantly challenging myself to do new things and this is a new way I never would have imagined.

Q: What is one thing you miss from school? Why?
A: I miss walking in the halls and seeing all my friends because some of my friends are all my classmates that I’ve gotten close to in my advanced classes since 4th grade.

Q: How do you feel about no more toilet paper in the stores?
A: I think the whole buying all the toilet paper thing is kind of crazy, but people always have their reasons I guess.

Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve seen or heard throughout this experience?
A: I think it’s very interesting seeing the ways our administration and teachers still work together through all of this and give us new ways to learn and always have our best interests in mind. It’s crazy how we went from being on spring break to not going back to school for what seems like many months and all of our teachers still able to pull it off and keep our education No. 1.

Q: If you had one message to send your classmates right now, what would it be?
A: I want to say that I miss y’all so much and I really hope that this all goes away so we can get back to normal!! I’m so excited to be starting my senior year and I want to have all my friends by my side.
