Lawsen & Leyton Gary: An #NDNSatHOME Story

Lawsen Gary is a 4th grade student at Groves Elementary. His younger brother, Leyton, is a 1st grade student at Taft Elementary. On a normal day, both enjoy going to school, playing sports like baseball and basketball and being older brothers to their sister, Loren. These are their #NDNSatHOME stories.
LAWSEN GARY:
Q: How do you keep yourself busy at home?
A: I play outside a lot! We visit the beach some and spend time with family.
Q: What is something fun you’ve done this week?
A: The funnest thing I have done this week is play basketball in the driveway and hit baseballs with my dad.
Q: What is one thing you have wanted to do this week (but couldn’t)?
A: I wished I could have gotten together with friends.
Q: How do you like the online assignments? Are they easy or hard?
A: They aren’t too bad. Most of them are easy.
Q: What is one thing you miss from school? Why?
A: I missing seeing my friends and doing fun activities because I really miss everyone.
Q: How do you feel about no more toilet paper in the stores?
A: I think it’s a little weird that toilet paper is not in stores. My butt will feel wet without it.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve seen or heard throughout this experience?
A: Getting to do school work from anywhere anytime of the day. I did mine at the beach, in my dad’s truck and at my house — all from an iPad.
LEYTON GARY:
Q: How do you keep yourself busy at home?
A: I jump on my trampoline, ride my dirt bike, and play on my new PS4.
Q: What is something fun you’ve done this week?
A: Swam at the beach and threw a football with my dad and brother, Lawsen.
Q: What is one thing you have wanted to do this week (but couldn’t)?
A: Go to baseball practice and games.
Q: How do you like the online assignments? Are they easy or hard?
A: Easy.
Q: What is one thing you miss from school? Why?
A: I miss my teachers because I haven’t seen them in almost a month.
Q: How do you feel about no more toilet paper in the stores?
A: I feel bad for people who need some.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve seen or heard throughout this experience?
A: I saw a lot of man o’ war jellyfish on the beach on a day when I should have been in school!
