Varsity boys golf takes first, fourth at Vidor Invitational

The varsity team of Tim Feemster (77), Braden Broussard (79), Jake Gauthier (82), Jason Adams (81) and Dalton Shield (78) took first place with a card of 315 Tuesday during the Vidor Invitational at The Country Club of Texas (Brentwood) in Beaumont.

Boys golf sent two varsity teams to compete in the Vidor Varsity Invitational at the Country Club of Texas (Brentwood) in Beaumont.

The team of Tim Feemster, Jake Gauthier, Braden Broussard, Dalton Shields and Jason Adams captured first place, carding a 315 on the day.

Blake Makelki’s 83 and Lake Edwards’ 84 paced the second squad, which placed fourth and shot 355.

Twelve area teams participated in the event.

The boys golf team is back in action this Friday when it competes in a tournament hosted by Barbers Hill at Eagle Point Golf Course in Mont Belvieu.
